Slow Cooker Beef Bourgnigon



3# beef stew meat
3 T. flour
1 1/2 c. beef broth
1 1/2 c. red wine
3/4 c. sliced mushrooms
1 large onion, chopped
2 medium carrots, sliced
2 slices bacon, chopped
2 garlic cloves, minced
2 T. tomato paste
hot cooked egg noodles

Put bacon in pan and brown along with garlic, onion, carrots and mushrooms.  Scrape bit from bottom of pan, add wine and broth.  Put stew meat in crockpot with flour.  Add bacon mixture and tomato paste.  Cook on low for 6-8 hours.  Serve over egg noodles.
