Chocolate and peanut butter are such a delightful duo. In this recipe an easy chocolate bundt cake is topped with a nice peanut butter frosting for a perfect dessert. I am making it this weekend for a family birthday party. And if you don't want to make a whole cake...make a pan of brownies and top them with the frosting for a smaller treat.
Cake:
1 chocolate cake mix
1 small box of instant chocolate pudding
1 c. chocolate chips
Follow the directions on the cake mix for preparing EXCEPT add 4 eggs instead of the usual 3.
Add the pudding mix in with the cake mix when preparing. Stir in the chocolate chips after mixing.
Pour into a greased and floured Bundt pan and bake at 350 degrees for 45-50 minutes. Cool and remove from pan.
Frosting:
Mix together
1/2 c. peanut butter
1/2 c. butter
2 c. powdered sugar
3 T. milk
Spread on top area of cake. Sprinkle with extra peanuts and/or chocolate chips if desired.
