No Pectin Blackberry Jam


Now the blackberry bushes are full of berries..so it is time to make yet another batch of jam.  It will be so nice this winter to open a jar and taste summer!  This makes about 1 1/2 pints.

4 1/2 c. blackberries
2 c. sugar
1 T. lemon juice
Mix well in a large saucepan.  Bring to a boil, lower heat and simmer for 35 minutes.  Put into hot sterilized jars.  Put in a water bath for 15 minutes.
