Spaghetti Pie


Just another way to serve up classic spaghetti and sauce.

1#ground beef
1/2 c. Chopped onion
1 red pepper, chopped
2 t. Italian seasoning
1 garlic clove, minced
16 oz. chopped tomatoes
1 small tomato paste
10 oz. spaghetti
2 eggs
1/2 c. Shredded Parmesan cheese

Bring 6 c. Water to boil.  Add spaghetti and cook until al dente.  Drain.  Mix in eggs and Parmesan cheese.  Butter a pie plate.  Place spaghetti in bottom and sides of pan.  Refrigerate until cool.
In a large saucepan cook ground beef, onion, pepper and garlic.  Add tomatoes and sauce.  Put sauce over the pasta .  Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes.  Sprinkle with 1 c. Mozzarella cheese.  Bake until cheese melts.  Let sit 5 minutes before servings.
